Nong Pol would like to share her experience from the 2011 Great Flood crisis, an event no one could have predicted. During that time, lightweight yet strong materials like EPS foam were used to protect cars.
Throughout this process, we have surveyed our customers to gather specifications for EPS foam that can actually be used to float vehicles. This was done to calculate the buoyancy force of the EPS foam in water that can support the weight of a car. We considered how the foam could help protect your valuable assets or tools of trade from damage, ensuring they could be used again once the crisis subsides.
There are several ways to float a car using foam. We would like to provide some basic recommendations.
Small, medium, and large sedans; pickup trucks; SUVs.
EPS foam should be used.
-Density of 1 pound, thickness 30 centimeters or more.
-Regarding the number of sheets, using only one is suitable for small passenger cars. Alternatively, at least three sheets should be used to support the underside of the engine (front), the middle, and the rear of the car.
-The width and length depend on the size of each type of vehicle.
*Supports only the weight of vehicles that are not yet loaded with anything.
